The Numdrum was invented by John Harrison to
help a child struggling with the basics of understanding numbers, adding
and subtraction. It is a simple but revolutionary development, which through
its design addresses the serious inadequacies of some present teaching
aids, most notably the number square.
Just as important, children find it fun and interesting to use. (for proof
of this, take a look at the video!!)
This site is designed to give Maths teachers (in primary schools and elsewhere)
and parents an introduction to the Numdrum, individual Numdrums and full
classroom kits. The numdrum is also ideal for home schooling and home education
